As we can see, there are certain states with a similar model that don't care and oddly tout themselves as successes.

I couldn't get a plan for my family in NY for under $1,500 yet that state gloats over it's guaranteed issue program.

Vermont is another nightmare for rates however they tout a 90% insured rate and have just passed basic legislation towards being the first single payer state. They actually just hired the guy who created Taiwan's single payer system.

And how many people live in Vermont? 2,000? I believe half the VT population works for Ben & Jerry's.
