not every link is no follow on this forum.

I dont have a link to the data but some one tested a ton of them and the conclusion was that the sole difference was that follow links will get your site indexed faster.
bet when these guys figure it out their post count will drop

I dont know aaron, I check my competitior's, and they dont have more than 10% no follow, and that's stretching, based on yahoo, majestic seo, seomoz etc etc.

yeah its good to have mix, but I wouldnt try and get backlinks that are no follow, get a few, 10% should be good

This isn't an opinion or speculation. The source of my info is SEOmoz' upcoming quantitative study "Google's Ranking Factors 2011" where they looked at the similarities of the top 30 results for 10,271 keywords. They found that the characteristic that the lower ranked pages most often had in common with each other was different than higher ranked pages was a low % of nofollow links.
