The Altidore hammie hurts bad - just watching his reaction I don't think he'll be running full speed anytime soon. Maybe we can ride a hot goalie (they can steal a game like a hockey goalie, right?) and get a draw against Portugal - that would probably be enough even after Germany dismantles us. That win definitely ramped up casual fan interest, though. My 7-yr-old now wants a World Cup ball and announced to us last night that he wants to play futbol this fall instead of (flag) football. Although in two weeks, he might want to play lacrosse for all I know

The fact that Pepe is out of the match won't hurt our chances to draw with Portugal. Then we just need to convince Germany not to manhandle us too much.
