Web Conference (Video Calls)

Do you use any web conference/video calls to speak with prospects/clients. I mean having face to face meeting, and not just sharing the desktop. If so, which service do you use? And have you found them useful?

I was considering gotomeeting, but the reviews are not very encouraging. They download a file on the "guest" computer. I'm looking for something that doesn't require "guest" to download anything, and the programme also doesn't download anything on their computer without their knowledge.

Just read about LiveMinutes the other day. Haven't gone any further then clicking around their website. Was is interesting is to see how the integration with Skype actually works.

It might be helpful for policy reviews, but not for new sale.

Agree, its more useful for policy review - but can be helpful in the sale as well (when sharing the desktop with prospect).

LiveMinutes use Skype for video call, and would require the client to have/use skype. I'd prefer to have something that doesn't require the client to do anything or have anything in particular. If he has Skype, then I can simply use Skype for making the call.
