49 separate commercial policies for a single property owner.

For personal lines, we wrote 103 in a weekend when there were some flood changes going on in our area and people were trying to grandfather in their rates before the change. Anytime you bind two or more new business accounts in a day, it's a good day.

Agreed. If you can do that everyday, you will have a good month.

For those of you writing dozens of commercial / vacant / residential properties for a single owner, you DO realize there's a vast number of carriers that will write these on one policy? Just a thought. :)

Also I concur with earlier posters - would much rather have a day where I bind $65,000 in premium between 2 policies like I did this week vs. 20 minimum premium GL accounts.

One policy often equals shared limits and premium accounting headaches among a large portfolio with multiple entities and ownership groups. I also see a lot of class C and D properties stuffed into a top carrier at huge discounts... which is great for the customer but often bad for your loss ratios.
