If there is a nextdoor site for your city, your client could also try posting there to see if someone has one they no longer need which they would give away or sell.
I see a lot of sharing of other less expensive items for people in need on my local site. I was considering asking there for a walker but found one at a Goodwill instead.

I got off of Fakebook on 01/20/2021 and don't want to promote it, but they have a marketplace that might have a used Wheelchair.
