Which is better? Selling Car and Home insurance or Medicare?

Hello everyone,

I'm very new to the insurance game and just got a job with a big insurance company. I have to choose to commit to selling either auto and home insurance or selling medicare. All leads will be provided. I'm trying to do my own research but thought it would be educational to ask the pros. I'm leaning towards medicare, the only reason, as of right now, is that they told me if pays a little better.

If you'd choose, which one would it be?

Does the big insurance company keep the renewals when you leave ?

How did they figure it "pays" better ? I would need to see the math on how they figured that.

Medicare might be easier to go out on your own in the future if that was a consideration. I don't know much about auto and home as far as breaking away and being independent.

I'm not sure how one could possibly compare compensation models. I do not sell Medicare, just P&C.

But in general P&C is a very heavy and slow train to get up and running. But once its rolling there is no stopping it.

one might be cleaner, but the dirtier one might pay more, have less competition & have better residuals, repeat customers & referrals
