I am considering selling employee benefits ie, life, disability etc. Any advice for a newby. Which companies offer best value and benefits for clients? Anyone offering contracting and training(advice on the ins and outs of biz, some sales approach etc).

Thanks guys.

Thanks Goose. I know it may not be easy but one sale their in a sense is like 3+ sales in individual life sales or one sale could make your entire month. Is Combined a captive company or is it the same Combined that sell MedSupp?

It's captive. Different than the supp contracts. There are two divisions that are captive. Combined and Combined Worksite. The recruiters on the regular side will tell you that they're worksite, but they are not.

What state are you in?

I'm not sure if I want to go the captive route but I will take it just in case it has to come to that. Thanks Goose.

You need to start with understanding who the competitive carriers are in your state.

Then see if you can contract with them.

Since you have no book of biz and no experience it may be difficult.

I am not even going to go into detail of prospecting employee benefits.

I agree! You definitely need to know who the main carriers in your state are!
