Well this was bound to happen with some of the major hospital's in Florida losing million's, seems there is a push by hospitals and a doctor's group (on the news last night) to lobby our state to expand medicaid sooner than later. We'll see how this pans out.

yea ok, that aint never gonna happen.
u see a trend among these states that have expanded medicaid? they all have state income taxes.

I think you are confused, intertwining politics with reality. Rick Scott is going after NON-profit Hospitals, because he is losing the LIP. He made it appear as if they request from all, but he wants the Non-profit who definitely need the LIP Funding. (Learn to read into things).

Here is his argument: Scott wants to have the ability (because he ran hospitals), to increase rates. Rates that are just non-sensible. He can up and down them. With Medicare patients, the Fed negotiates rates on everything. They tend to put a stop at a certain level. Hell, even Canada does this, and we have Americans going over their to buy drugs.

Since ACA, for 5 years...doctors can NOT KEEP UP with patients, and CAN NOT keep up with negotiated rates, NOR...can they keep up with the amount of BOOM money they have received. People complain now, on waiting to see a doctor.

So, you have a pull-push here. Some want the old way, and some want the new way. Profit hospitals are not losing money, but making it. They have MORE patients covered. People tax dollars are paying for it, via their plans, via negotiated contracts, etc. Non-profit are losing it all. If Gov. Scott expanded, these hospitals and doctors would not be complaining.

It is all a disguise.

Luv ya, but read between the lines.
