Do You Write Future PIA Clients?

Those clients who have the characteristics to become a thorn in your side or whose personality doesn't mesh well with yours?

The type of person that will make mountains out of mole hills and nothing is ever done correctly. I feel one of my clients may have this personality. I'm still writing it, and I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I'm curious if you seasoned agents pass that business on or take the chance and write it. This question isn't line specific, I like hearing from the other lines.

Those of you that do write the business, do you ever hit a point where you ask yourself, "Why did I write this when I knew it was going to be a PIA!"

Or do most of these "gut feeling" clients turn out to be your best?

Or am I just being.......snooty. I'm still at the point where beggars can't be choosers, to an extent.

And just in case: PIA = pain in the arse

It's all about ROI. PIAs are fine as long as they pay (in premiums). I won't cater if they don't pay or pay very little.
