I was a captive for the past 3 years...fed up with the desk fees, computer fees, printer fees, etc.....would really want to sell health/life online/over the phone without having to travel god knows where to see people who would waste my time.

Just wondering if that is possible

We sell Term, UL and Whole Life in about 30 states. Most of our agents are licensed in four - five states.

I would love to do life or health insurance over the phone. I am licensed in all 50 states. Any suggestions? How do you get your leads?

Stay away from Ed Gentry and Insurance Marketing Systems - unless you don't mind getting stiffed.

Health commissions are down and more agents getting out of the business every day, but I still think health insurance (like alcohol sales-scary stats) is a good product to sell whether you're in a good or bad economy. It's something that is always on their mind and a great foot-in-the-door product to cross-sell other products after you've earned their trust. Souldeux nailed it... ALOT of discipline, but ALOT of benefits as well. The future of health insurance... remains to be seen.
