A Few Words About Keyword Conversion Rates

With google's most recent algorithm change I've seen the traffic to my site change a few different ways, but there was one I really thought I'd like to share. Although my site ranks for a number of relatively competitive terms, it just made it higher up page one for one that has a relatively low search volume. Although the volume is low, the traffic is converting SUPER well. Sometimes it's not just about ranking for a high volume keyword or sniping a bunch of longtail terms, each term itself is going to convert differently, sometimes drastically so.

Conversion rates are even more critical when doing pay-per-click advertising. The search engines want you to focus on click-through rate because that's how they make money. But optimizing click-through without optimizing conversion is a fast path to a drained bank account.
