Your points are all well-taken.
I have learned more about forums in 24 hours than in all my life and tried to make that clear. Nuff said about that.
As for simplified issue, you have opened my eyes to what that really means. Until yesterday, to me it always meant policies that are issued based on a different, shorter, more simplified application that does not ask as many questions. The death benefits are limited and there are fewer rating classes. In my experience the application actually says "simplified issue" on it. I have written SI term and FE policies with a few carriers such as MOO, Foresters, CFG, Monumental (now Transamerica), and others.
