Beginning 10/01/11, a new final expense app will be available for use in all states EXCEPT Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, and Virginia.* At that time, the new app will be available for download from our agent website, and for supply orders.

Key Improvements to the app include:

 • One app - four products: Express Issue Whole Life, Deluxe, Premier and GIWL.
 • New! 2-year look-back for all health alcohol, drug and driving record questions for Express Issue Deluxe & Premier.
 • Drugs prescribed for preventive or maintenance purposes to treat cancer, heart or circulatory conditions do not automatically disqualify your client.
 • Previous declines/postpones from other carriers AND clients under 65 who are/have been disabled in the past 6 months can now apply for day one coverage with Express Issue Deluxe.
 • Clients unable to qualify for Express Issue WL may qualify for GIWL1 without completing a separate application.
 • Applicants can now authorize the Company to automatically issue an alternate plan of insurance (if they qualify) and adjust the face amount if necessary.
Reformatted signature lines/authorizations makeit easier to complete the app with your client.
*Old Final Expense and GIWL apps will be accepted through 10/31/11. Old apps received after 10/31/11 will be returned to the agent. For states in which the new app is pending approval, the 10/31/11 cut-off does not apply. Product availability and application forms vary by state. 1PA requires section 9 to be fully completed.

On the old app, Express Issue Deluxe, Section II, Question B reads "In the past 2 years have you been declined or postponed for Life or Health Insurance?" We are removing the "or Health" language and moving this question to Express Issue Premier, Section III. This change will allow your clients the opportunity to obtain immediate death benefit coverage with UHL when previously declined by other carriers

(Before OCt 1st)Express Issue Deluxe, Section II, Question D currently reads "If under the age of 65, are you currently disabled or been disabled in the last six months or at any time during the last six months received any disability compensation....". This question is being moved to Express Issue Premier, Section III. This change will allow your clients under the age of 65 and on SSDI the opportunity to obtain day one coverage.

Express Issue Deluxe, Section II.A has been changed to read "In the past 2 years...." Currently there is a 5-year look back period.

I've attached a Sample New Ga APP.

Is the min age still 45 in CA? I had to turn away a prospect with schizophrenia because she's only 43. RNA and Assurity wouldn't take her either on their GIWL.

So many better choices.... You are loyal I will give you that Mark.

They are getting better everyday. They are undoing a lot of the changes that I didnt like about them.

The new app changes a lot of the things I didnt like about them and allows me to write a lot more people.

I'm happy to see the new app.
