Here's the situation:

Two sons, who live here in Atlanta, are relocating their mother, who resides in New York, down south to be with her boys. Dad died and Mom gets to stay on Dad's group health plan through May of this year.

They already applied for Part B for Mom, and are hoping that she can move to Atlanta before getting a Medicare Supplement or Advantage Plan. Here's the question: If she cannot move down before the end of May, and gets a Medicare Advantage Plan, can she get another Medicare Advantage Plan when she does move down to Atlanta?

From everything I know of MA's the answer is YES, since she is moving out of a service area (NY) and into another (ATL).

I do not have all the MS/MA nomenclature down

I thought it was more like LOL or OMG.

Between rap, Twitter and texting I don't think any 1 nose how 2 spell any more.

To be nitpicky, Special Enrollment Period is for Medicare Part B. A SEP for changing health plans after moving out of the service area would be a Special Election Period.
