(Before anyone even asks, I searched and the threads are old)

Remicaid is listed as a Part B covered drug.

Remicaid is also listed as a Part D drug.

Based on what I have already read, if you are having it administered in a doctors office, its covered under Part B.

If you are having it administered via Home Health, its covered under Part D, the patient picks it up and brings it home for the Home Health provider.

So today I received an email from a T65 who has Remicaid administered at a hospital. He's on year 8 and has been doing this a while. I asked him to confirm with his provider (largest hospital network in Dallas) how they cover it. This is the email he received:

THIS IS SOME INFO TO HELP WITH MAKING DECISION ABOUT REMICADE. IF YOU TAKE MEDICARE AND STILL WORK, YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP YOUR PRIMARY THE WAY IT IS IN ORDER TO HAVE INFUSION HERE AT THE OFFICE. Then there is the attachment (which pushes Med Supp, BTW)

Any thoughts? Client does not want to switch infusion location.
