ATT Cancels Retiree Health Plan

If you buy your supplement through AON you are likely paying a higher price than if you go buy it through a broker/agent and only get your RX plan or your dental through AON.
That’s why Chris Westfall and many of us brokers were selling a lot of AT&T retirees their supplements when they switched over to that system.

My dads got His medigap threw Aon . He’s 88 and paying $440 a month for Anthem plan F . Are you telling me the prices apples to apples to apples with the same plan and ins company more with Aon. So as long as they buy a dental or rx threw Aon they get the $2700? If they buy their sup on the outside how do they get there money from Aon to pay the sup?

Yes AON often has the companies create a specific block of business just for them to sell which will be the exact same thing but priced higher. But much worse than that the companies that they choose to sell it to the employees are not even the lower-priced companies. With Medicare supplements every company is selling exactly the same thing there’s no reason to buy one company over another. You can save a whole Lotta money by getting away from them on your supplement and opening your shopping up to all the companies not just one company.

But in most states your father is going to have to health qualify to get approved with a new company and his age he may not be able to do that.

Illegal tie-in sale . . . but no one ever calls them out on it.

The Aon reps are mostly clueless. Reading from a script.

Other "consulting" firms have jumped into this game and they aren't any better.
