Not surprising. It's immensely easy to become a lawyer in California. You don't even have to go to law school. Sadly, I'm not kidding. It's called the "Law Office Study Program." You can skip law school and opt to shadow a lawyer for 18 hours per week, for 4 years. And given the fact that this world is Pleasantville, and that there's no corruption, I'm sure friends of lawyers are fulfilling all 18 hours per week for all 4 years, and that no one is fudging/ghost-writing hours in. Yea...uh huh. California is known for being the land of the low class moronic lawyer.
