E&O Insurance Before Joining an MGA

I have been waiting to hear back from a few MGA's. Would like to hear others thoughts on obtaining and E&O policy now or wait until I join???? I have a list of clients waiting and I am hoping to sign this week and get the ball rolling ASAP.

Make sure you get one that allows addition of AI's. Policies like the e&o for less don't allow it.

As long as you think you will be signing up with the MGA within 30 days, you might as well get it now. No point in getting it if you think might be months away from needing it.

Thank you for the input, any suggestions on certain E&O Carriers? I plan to sign within the next week or two at most with an MGA.

I would go through all of your options and have your selection ready to go as soon as you select your MGA. You will need to show proof of E&O Insurance to all companies you hope to appoint with as a MGA member typically.
