In my eyes her is what a good lead consist of. The name and title of the decision maker. Employee count and participation rate(for health), renewal date, carrier, current brokers name and a valid e-mail address. As well as a specific time and date of the appointment. If a decision maker gives this information out they are serious about doing business if they hesitate they are a tire kicker. Now ounce you have that information which better be a 100% accurate you have a pre-set appointment, in a market you have requested and the day and time that works for you. Next you send an agent out and hopefully close a deal, but let's say you don't.
The company you have hired to do this for you should call within 2 business days after the appointment and survey the DM to find out the reason the meeting was not successful. If they state the price was to high then you know you might not be competitive in that specific market and make adjustments, or if it is the producer not making an impression etc. etc. If the decision maker is a no show the company you have hired should handle re-scheduling as well. This in my opinion is what Producers should be paying for.
