Forced onto Medi-Cal this month and its a huge problem. I want to go back on my CA marketplace plan

On January 1st 2021 my health insurance plan (Healthnet through Covered California) was renewed at a nice rate with no problems. I don't mind the $100 premium or out of pocket costs or deductible because it gives me what I need.

But on January 21st, I was notified that my covered california plan is being cancelled in 10 days on January 31st and that I am basically being FORCED onto Medi-cal (California Medicare) starting on February 1st 2021 because my annual income is "supposedly" below the cut-off by $100. Or I MIGHT be able to to get back on the Healthnet covered california plan I was already happily enrolled in now at the rate of $600 a month (up from the $100 I was paying until this shit storm started on Jan. 21st) because now no credits apply if i turn down medi-cal.

The Problem: I can't see any of my doctors or psychiatrists/specialists that i have worked with for years for very important medical conditions I have and I also cant get some of the prescriptions I need on medi-cal plans and the one I might be able to get I have to join some Fee-for-service program within medi-cal.

My income for 2020 was $21,000 which is above the cut-off amount of $17,609. My 2020 Best Buy income totaled $11,500 before I was furloughed and then I made about $1300 a month from unemployment through December not counting the bonus $600 payments

But when I called Medi-Cal they said that they made this giant decision based ONLY on my income from the month of December which is lower than my average income and they are not counting my income from work at Best Buy, therefore they cancelled my Healthnet plan instantly.

What are my options?
Are they allowed to not count my total annual income like that?
Can I stay on the original plan at the discounted rate of $100? Even If in the future my income drops below the cut-off if it is dangerous to my life to lose covered doctors I need?

This is dangerous for me because I will be very sick if I can't get my presciptions and I have to see my specialist every month for a new refill because its controlled. There are other important reasons I won't disclose on here but my life is being turned upside down by losing all these doctors etc.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thank you

Do your taxes for 2020 and send a copy of them to medi-cal explaining you filed your 2020 taxes and here’s a copy . Explain they only looked at your dec income and your total 2020 income makes you eligible to stay on the plan.I’m sure if you fight it you’ll get back on it. California’s not on the aca plan and instead administers it themselves ? My exp on the aca plans if you make less than the min they leave you alone .If you make more they come after the subsidy $’s .
