General Contractor Workers Comp - New Jersey New Venture

Hey Gang,

I have a GC who subs out 100% of his work. He was with a company where he was a partner and left this month to start his own company up...he has large contracts that require a min. wc limit of $1,000,000 and I am getting declines across the board because it is a new business GC in NJ.

Anyone know of markets to look at for no prior coverage GC in NJ? Thank you for your help

I don't know NJ market, but I write many GC's here in Arizona. For paper GC's, no voluntary markets will take them, even with experience. Doesn't NJ have an assigned risk plan?

New venture kills it... I have a standard market for gc's that sub out 100% but it requires 3 years consecutive. 10k min premium...
