Green card holder with 4 months in US

A green card will have a “resident since” date.
That does not mean anything. You could be in the USA 20 years and get get your green card approved. Underwriters are interested in when you entered USA not when green card was approved. Resident since is the visa status

My prior response was to the question posed by walthamny in the first sentence of post #9 and that is, “How would the underwriters know the green card is only 4 months old?” Time as a permanent resident begins on the date the person was granted permanent resident status. If (s)he interviewed at a U.S. embassy or consulate, it is the date that they approved the immigrant visa. If (s)he adjusted status inside the United States, it is the date that United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) approved permanent resident status. This date is on the permanent resident card.

The original poster stated the person was in the United States for 4 months. Depending on the particulars of the case, the insurance company might request that a questionnaire be completed with supporting documentation furnished.
