Has anyone done Aetna Retail outside of AEP?

I am looking into and almost ready to pull the trigger on T65 Inbound? Know anything about that one?

I do and use them.

Here's the skinny, you have to be really patient. You start 8-9 months out and scale the total mailers. So the first 3 months I wouldn't expect a rush of leads.. HOWEVER, outside of organic and referrals, this is my outreach method.

I do 600 a mailing for 5 mailings that ends 3m before decision date. It streamlines my life incredibly. Once my pipeline fills back up and I have more consistent activity, I'll probably up to 1k.

Scott blocks off my regions to not have us competing against one another. So, if you're a f2f sales person, I am not, you're area might be blocked off.

I live about 10m from Cadillac, so I have a good bit of the Northern region down into W MI.

As for service, he's really great. I had him do some light edits to my letters to send clients to my sites "Commonly Asked Questions" page, which has videos, links to other pages, and basic questions.

I've had a lot of compliments from clients that say I make it easy for people to research and learn more about me.. by the time they contact me (except for deaths, or the grumps because they get too much mail) they're usually ready to go about 40-50% of the time.

Usually they ask me what we need to do to set this up.

I've learned there are two things I'm selective about.

People that move into the state and DSNP. People that move into the state usually move out after the first winter. DSNP is a pita and I don't want to spend my time saving business.

Thanks Travis. You are quite a ways from me. My office is in Mount Pleasant (my property mgmnt office that now serves double duty with Medicare), and I live 15-20 minutes south of there. I work for a guy and handle all of the more than 70 rental properties, bill paying, bookkeeping, legal stuff with evictions, court dates, etc. Often my role spills over into all his personal obligations as well. Not complaining, its actually a good thing, since it does get me more business. I just got 5 new clients simply from being there. And he doesn't care what I do with the office as long as things get done. I put a sign on the entrance and people have been learning they can come in and ask medicare questions...

For me, I was out of the biz for 3 yrs, when all those changes happened with Obamacare, I decided to just do the farm/family life. I could only sell so much Assurity in this area (I'm half kidding as that was decent and I had other products, but...) I am not from here originally and moving to the country was odd for me.

As the stars would have it, recently I hooked back up with a guy I originally started in U65 back in 2004. He's been telling me for awhile, "come on, you gotta try this Medicare biz"... we didn't talk for awhile, and through facebook, we discovered we both have places right near each other in Fla, we started talking more about it, and this is the new thing now. Medicare. I'm questioning my sanity at times with this choice. lol. Simply bc squeezing it into a time slot is not easy, then you know, the pressure from FMO and others to deliver production. I'm just going to do what I can.

Hubby does very well with the over 125 yr old farming biz his family came and started from Germany all those years ago. He considers my jobs, my hobbies. Although one job, the property management job, is very busy and I do that 4 days a week. And hubby is almost a full-time job. Ever feed a busy farmer on the daily? LOL. Just the grocery shopping and cooking for him is a task. Then during his off time, he loves to travel and play all through summer and winter, and I plan all of that....he farms, I handle the rest. I'm not complaining. It's a great life. If he had his way, I'd just do the family/farm thing, but it's not in my nature.

I also have an adult 24 yr old son who has a disability. He's self-sufficient for the most part but there are times that it takes a lot of time and energy. In a few minutes I have go TRY to put together a kitchen island I got him off Wayfair for his apt. Fun.

I do get over to TC in the summer. Stayed at the Grand Traverse Hotel a few times, and hit up the Turtle Creek Casino. Beautiful. I don't drink at all, but I was impressed last time I was in TC wine country. Starting to remind me of Napa Valley a little bit, where I used to live near in my 20s. I bet your hobby farm is beautiful. Great area there.

Also, I had a great friend who lived in Cadillac who bought and ran a chop house in Onekamaw. He married a mail-order bride (against my advice), they got divorced and he took off back down to Florida. Anyway, I digress, I don't even go visit in that area anymore.

I'll figure the T65 inbound out on Monday. See if my area is blocked. Thanks again for the feedback on that. Sorry, this post was kind of long...just thought I'd share a little more about myself. In the sharing mood, usually I am not in an online forum. :)

It's okay, I spent 4 years part time building a book while working for the State as a Disability Examiner for SSA.

That was a bear and I bought my small farm in October to get the heck out of the city as the world is going crazy. I love TC and I had a decent house (which is crazy expensive) but for essentially the same price I could buy my farm.

I'm originally from Charleston, SC and moved up here in 2007 with my now wife. I came back to insurance in 2016 (I had been in previously in SC with Medicare and P&C)

My mom had small cell lung cancer and between not being able to go off work for Medicare and not being able to get life insurance because of her dx, it kinda hit a spark for me to come back.

I know it's a bitch to run a full time job AND insurance. When I finally got fed up with government work (last month) I just gave my notice. In Dec I moved into the farm and finally tore up my knee bad enough to need surgery. Between the moving, selling, my knee, and deviated septum surgery I took about 6 months off. I was still writing as my leads were still trickling in, but now I'm dry and rebuilding.
