Hospital/Surgical Medical Plans

thought those were all outlawed on 01/01/2015... meaning fixed indemnity plans

You can still buy them. They just don't qualify for ACA and you still pay the penalty.

Plus, there's a sucker born every minute....

OP....search on Christian medi-share plans and US Health Advisors. There's a few threads on those.

Anyone out there working with a "fair" hospital/surgical med. plan as an alternative to A.C.A.?

A Short Term Medical plan would be "fairer" than a Hospital/Surgical plan, assuming the applicant doesn't have chronic health conditions.

Plus, keep in mind that as of 2015, Hospital/Surgical plans can only legally be purchased by applicants who have Minimum Essential Coverage already.
