How Effective is the Dave Ramsey ELP Program?

I'm relatively new to the insurance business. What can you tell me about the effectiveness and ROI of the ELP program Dave Ramsey offers?

It depends. What part of the country are you in, and what lines are you looking to sell? And probably the most important question, is it even open in your area?

SE Michigan - auto and home. I understand term life is locked up, is that right?

Yes, and honestly can you move enough term to justify the price?

I don't listen to Dave, so don't know his take on home and auto, but I would think it would be ok. Odds are, they will probably want higher deductibles, that might be good for you.

Don't forget, you can always try to cross-sell them. But I do think you have to agree not to try and sell any of his referrals whole life. I imagine UL gets lumped into that too.

They don't have ELPs for Term Life because Zander Insurance has the entire country.

It's my belief that Dave is part owner with Zander but that's just a hunch.

Probably not part owner, but revenue sharing arrangement. That way there is no risk and it is easier to dump them if something goes wrong.

Do you pay a flat fee to join or per lead?

I'm sure it's very effective for ole Dave himself. For everybody else, not so much.
