IMO Contract

I'm being asked to sign a contract with an IMO. I'm 1099 and Independent. They have a clause about the leads that they provide. I pay for them out of my commissions. However, if I violate the agreement and sell anything other that what they say I can sell to the client I'm in breech of contract and liable for up $5,000 per incident. I don't have this type of contract with any other IMO I'm associated with. I'm not buying leads from my other IMO's ether.

How is that independent?

There are a lot of good IMOs out there where you can be Independent.

Buy your leads on your own and sell what you want.

FEX is great. I've been with them over 3 years, and I think it's the best IMO for face-to-face FE agents.
