Incentives to Promote Life Insurance sales

Is it ethical to offer a book to everyone who completes - and once it is approved - a life policy?

This is an incentive for the sale of life insurance.

No, that's called an inducement and it's against the insurance code.

You can always give a book afterwards, but don't use it as the reason for people to apply for the coverage in the first place. Or rather, it cannot be contingent of a sale.
