Chumps, I had looked at lycos before but I don't see how to get listed with them. Did you just go through the advertising department?

Would one of you mind commenting on the backround and what program you run with Lycos? I know who they are but nothing about what type of listing or ad programs the have. I looked at the site but not much info except to call.

My guess is that is random. More of my sites are getting high traffic from there (with low bounce rates), but no reason why.

Yeah they all of a sudden they became a top referral source for me too..... They went from 0 visits/day before 5/29 then consistently to 30-40 visits/day since.

Chumps are you tracking the referral traffic using G-Analytics? All my lycos traffic look like it is coming from one source: http://search.lycos.com/image-preview. What about yours?

Mine seemed to be coming from" Lycos Organic." It hit a peak of almost 500 per day and has dropped since then.

I take it you are talking about lycos search and not an ad campaign.?

Yes. I don't have an add campaign. But the increase in traffic from Lycos was basically just on paper. Not many of them converted.
