It will be interesting to see how long that site stays up there. From what I hear, the site has some decent links, but the content is a "little thin."

SEO is dead and no one should do it anymore. In the ol' Western movies, didn't the guys with "white hats" usually win in the long run?

If you haven't read the book, "In the Plex" by Steven Levy, I highly recommend it. It's not brand new, but clearly defines Google's goal of "eliminating the need for SEO." Obviously, that doesn't mean the industry will go away. But, if Google's goal is to give the most appropriate results for a search query, it was a matter of time before the algorithms penalized black hat links, right?

Another fascinating piece of that book is how Levy puts into perspective just how powerful their data really is. Everything from predicting shopping trends to wars is possible inside Google's walls. Thank God their internal motto is "don't be evil."
