Marketing when Working for Broker General Agent

If I work for a broker as 1099 status, am i able to market myself to customers as my company name?

Example: Broker company name is ABC Brokers, when i market can i use xyz company (my company)

I do not see any reason why you can't.

Ask you BGA...But you shouldn't have any problems soliciting under your actual name. I never heard of someone advertising under their broker dealer

thats true. thanks. but could i start my own business under them? like starting my own agency but using broker instead of direct with carrier. sorry, not sure if these are dumb questions, but im fairly new and trying to find my way.
