I have a prospect who will be turning 65 in September of 2023. He has health insurance through his employer, and has met his out of pocket limit, so I'm suggesting that he keep his insurance for the rest of the year. He wants to go off of his group insurance, so we will sign up for part B to begin in January of 2024. But does it benefit him to sign up for part A, begining this September? Since he's already met his out of pocket, will it matter to his group insurance? Would it just be easier to have A and B begin January 1 2024? Thanks for the advice!!

I would do A and B for January 1. TIP: Don't do the app until Dec 1. Otherwise, they are going to screw it up. Guaranteed.
