Need Help With Obtaining Ill Producer's License!!!

I'm interested in obtaining my P&C producer's license but I have been convicted of a misdemeanor. Will they deny my request? I've heard some things about felonies but I can't find any information about misdemeanors. I'm wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and can offer some help.

Best answer yet. Depends on the misdemeanor. And the DOI's answer is the only one that matters.

Thanks everyone. I did speak with the department of insurance today and they seemed to be ok with it but I didn't get a definite answer. Isn't that just how it is in insurance

They said they were looking for anything that would have to do with insurance like fraud or financial misdemeanors so I hope I'm ok.
