After all, medicare works, VA health works great, and so does social security.

If the definition of "works" means that social security and medicare are running at a negative with no end in sight, then I agree.

Government programs are terrific as long as the printing press works and we can borrow our way to utopia.

Both social security and medicare are broke and will continue to spiral downhill.

Who's going to pay the benefit in 15 years?
