Tip: What to Say when Making Cold Calls

I'm Mark Rosenthal with (insert ins company name) just calling to see if you have any questions about Final Expense.

Short, and to the point.
 
I began cold calling selling Industrial tooling and supplies to machine shops and contractors, moved on to Investment securities, then Insurance.


1) Know who you are calling and why you are calling.
2) Be courteous, articulate and precise as to why you are calling.
3) End your short introduction with a question.
4) Always ask for their renewal date and ask permission to re-contact 60-45 days prior to renewal.
5) Always thank the person for their time. and if possible follow up with a Thank you e-mail.
