Updates on 'Have You Been Paid?'

Going forward its going to be an issue on all business.

Probably.

Commission departments are (usually) not dedicated to one line of coverage. It they get behind in one area, say Obamacare commissions, it will impact other lines as well.

It probably only applies in cases where insurance companies can use that as an excuse.

I asked Aetna why they pay Medicare commissions on time every month and ACA commissions are so far behind and the answer was 'it's a totally different department'.

I'm sure if they fall behind on Medicare, though, they would use the 'we are overwhelmed with ACA commission issues' excuse in a heartbeat.

Dear Insurance Carriers Commissions Departments:

Please do not use the word 'expedite' when referring to commissions due for many, many months. Please note the definition of 'expedite':

ex•pe•dite (ˈɛk spɪˌdaɪt)

v.t. -dit•ed, -dit•ing.
1. to speed up the progress of.
2. to perform promptly.
3. to issue; dispatch.

The word to use is: rountuit. We all know you are getting to us when you get 'rountuit'.

Do you need to know the definition of 'promptly'?
