Lead Providers

I'm aware that this sort of topic has been brought up and debated multiple times on this forum..but I still want opinions.

Recently I've noticed that I'm receiving the SAME leads from major lead providers (NetQuote, All Web Leads, Quote Wizard) and I think it's mainly because they buy and resell their leads from other providers.

Anyone know a lead provider that does not buy their leads from other companies?

They are all pretty much garbage, all the ones you mentioned are the same company (bank rate). I do know a good commercial lead company, but they only allow 1 or 2 agents in each area.

why pay for leads when you can pay $5/month and generate your own leads?

get out of the rat race! lead providers are nothing but middle-men (wholesalers) who cut into your profit margins.

Anyone that sells exclusive leads should only be selling that lead to one person. Mind you the leads are about 3x's as much as a shared lead (in the $30 range for internet leads).

Of course self generated leads are your own, such as:
Business reply cards
Website leads (from your website)
Seminar leads
Referrals from clients
Referrals from other professionals
Networking events
etc...

This can vary by market (I am a senior market guy, so Chamber of Commerce events are not as fruitful, more for a P&C or group health agent)
