Best Brokerage/IMO/FMO/MGA/GA/Whatever else There Is?

Again you're posting in the wrong section, and getting advice from people who don't know the final expense market. You are all over the place. Narrow it down and focus. You don't need an agency license, an LLC, and all that to sell FE. You just need a good upline and commit to a consistent weekly order of leads. Talk to Spur City. He started out at one of the mutuals (NYL I think) before transitioning to final expense.

Thanks for the recommendation buddy!

Yes, I started out with NYL and stayed there for almost 3 years to learn the biz.

Thomas is correct, if you are wanting to specialize in FE then talk to an FE specialist like myself.

I offer street level contracts with ADVANCEMENTS (not as-earned) along with access to my appointment setters, leads & full-tilt training for you or your agency.

Just PM me for more info...

We'll final expense isn't all I want to write either. I wanted to eventually run a full service agency where agents could work in the areas that they are comfortable.

Similarly to a big agency near me where they have different departments. That's why I want it structured right now so in five 10 years I don't run into any major hiccups.

So would I. Be better finiding an "upline" on the FE side but working with a brokerage elsewhere for term quotes and going direct with the mutuals?

As you can see this is more than a FE question even though I'll chase that market I still want access to the non FE carriers.

Yes. Get your term /gul/IUL contracts with a group that shops all your cases out and are good about getting APS ordered

Also would want to get contracted directly with Cincinnati life and Ohio national

Get contracted with the Penn Mutual guardians etc directly

Then to round out your portfolio contact 360 financial for those FE contracts

My suggestion is to find someone that can help you learn and be successful at whatever area you choose to focus on. You can't do everything. Don't waste your time signing up with a ton of carriers out of the gate, you likely won't use most of them and if you need one you can always get set up at that time.

Just an update to the situation.

I ended up deciding on going with Brokers Alliance. I can't discuss commissions since I signed a non disclosure. It is however very competitive and I worked with them to offer me wiggle room so I can bring on agents below me if I need to. Plus they have a partnership with the RIA program which may interest me down the road, and have options for med sups.

It should be noted I'm fine working on my own and in fact my autistic butt works better without structure and without the idea of working for someone else. I'm the type of guy that does things my way. And if it doesn't work I'll make it work. ;)

Thanks for the help though folks. Its this thread that lead me down the right path to understanding what I should be looking for, and what questions to ask.

URL has a great setup. When you put all your business through them, you are eligible for bonuses and they will beat or be equal to whatever your getting now.

Some other interesting ones are Keystone Insurance Group and Gordon Marketing.

Gordon Marketing is the biggest joke of a FMO there is, beyond Captive or GA Amerilife. Gordon Marketing provides ZERO senior products support, takes weeks for them to submit contracts, they harass or blackmail you by saying they wont support your other contacts you have with them if you dont bring them your XX company contract as well, and once they have all of your contracts they completely ignore all help requests.
The founder of Gordon Marketing was a wonderful man, but the second he handed it down to Sylvia Gordon his daughter it became a joke of a organization, plus about 60% of their medicare contracts are not direct with carriers. The only direct Medicare contract they have is with United Healthcare from what I can tell, rest are through SMS, Amerilife, Agent Pipeline.

You also need to watch some of the contracts they send you, a few of them Gordon Marketing receives the commissions and then pays you.

Sorry for the rant, but run the other way from that FMO. Leaving them was a wonderful decision.
