Hawaii has a huge MA presence since many are so poor there.

According to Ritter Insight, Honolulu has a 48% MA/MAPD penetration rate, 9% SNP and 28% on employer group health plans. That doesn't leave a lot for Med Supp.

I would say Med sups are more popular on islands without MAPDs.
