We need to say a prayer for all those on the east coast who will be affected by Dorian. I am on the gulf coast so it looks like we dodged a bullet.

So about an hour ago my wife and I got this alert from Villanova University, where our oldest daughter is a student. Thankfully it turned out to have been a false alarm. But for about 30 minutes our life stopped.

These incidents have become so commonplace that this was instantly real for us. My heart is still pounding to tell you the truth.

Back when the VA governor was going through difficult times a few months ago the wackos were targeting EVMS in Norfolk where my daughter is a medical student. It was because the governor was a former student. She experienced protest and was afraid she would be followed into the parking garage. You really worry about your kids when they re so far from home.

You really worry about your kids when they re so far from home.

My daughter is a Junior. I get it. Three of my boys are veterans, they could not come home in uniform for fear of being killed. FN crazy!

Prudential is a union shop (or at least it was a few years ago). American National captive agents are also unionized.
