A little step farther than John went, a pro tip when you sign up for things:
Go to your websites cpanel email addresses. Set the catchall to go to your email address.
Whenever you sign up for anything make up an email on the fly.
Like say you sign up for forums just use like [email protected].
Now the only email that comes there, ever, is that mail.
If that email ever becomes a spammers send address, go into your cpanel and forward it to the federal spam reporting address.
Since it was a catchall forward you didn't have to go make it, and it was 1 step to stop the spam and send all the future spam into the database used to prosecute spammers.
Small claims is fun too some guy makes a living doing that.
I give people the benefit of the doubt and hit their unsubscribe one time to see if they're compliant, if I get a 2nd email it gets the permanent forward.
