What’s insteresting is looking at there new rates at some 75-85 spots there not crazy high, what tends to do them in is agents putting 5-7/m extra ADR on the policy.
I have never worked with them but I am sure the agents are taught to "build" the premium...

I just had a 79 M paying $139/m for 5k with LH. Looking at the rates posted here 40ish a month was accidental that’s insane.
That's as old as the hills. The big mutuals have always taught their agents to add the "waiver of premium" to the whole life plans. Same idea as it looks good and builds the perceived value while not costing much. Like ADB it probably hardly ever pays out. Just some more profit for the company.

They cover just about anything for far too much. They tend to have poorly trained agents, and they are known to "eat their own."
