Support, tools/technology, someone you can work with that is able to help you identify opportunities. I've been an employee with an FMO for 10 years now and can happily say that if marketing dollars and override becomes slim to none, those are the only things that will set someone apart. Find someone who picks up the phone or at least calls you back same day.
