Marketing at Costco, Wal-Mart or Sam's Club

Love that. Great marketing idea.

Every year the hospital here has an event called:
Babypalooza

This maternity event is held annually on the grounds of The Women’s Hospital. If you are planning to begin a family, currently pregnant, or have a young baby, this event applies to you. Health Education vendors and retail vendors are both present offering information on The Women’s Hospital’s services, area childcare services and what to look for in a childcare provider, infant and childhood immunizations, and so much more. Babypalooza is free of charge. For more information, contact

The charge to set up as a vendor is nominal and new mothers, expectant mothers, and grandmothers have good potential as prospects.

Those locations can be tough because any marketing activity that occurs inside the store is controlled by their corporate headquarters. If they don't tell the store manager to let you in then you won't have any success. The hospital idea is a good one since most hospitals have some sort of patient outreach program and are often looking for presenters to provide useful info to their patients.

I always see third party vendors set up at these places selling something (sun rooms, decks, tax services, travel services, etc).

Has anyone here ever tried this? Any thoughts on how you would go about getting something like this up and running?

I work all local events and fairs. Home show, bridal shows, chamber mixers, etc. Lead generation and pre-need on the spot...It's a good change of pace from the kitchen table...

Set up a permanent booth at a good weekend flea market. Good success for Medicare market reported.

There are a lot of seniors at flea markets both as customers and as vendors. Being a fellow vendor could open doors with other vendors.
