MEdicare Advantage Question

I see a lot of people telling me to put him in a med supp he dont want... why would i do that? He would keep it for a month, then cancel, and i would not only piss him off, but i would lose future business and get a chargeback. That is pointless
Besides part of the reason he specifically wants to go PCP is because he gets all of his pt. B premium back with it, it literally costs him nothing unless he uses it.
Thank you for everyone's input, seeing as there is no way to get him into the plan now, i will just have to wait to put him in a plan in October

Why would he only keep the med sup for a month? That's his choice I guess but his only option right now is to get a med sup and use that through the end of this year or to just have medicare only and use that through the end of this year

If you decide for him that he should not go med sup then I hope he has no big medical bills that he might blame you for.

I would lay out the options for him with the pros and cons of each decision and then let him decide. he has already shown to be a procrastinator.

The HDF in my part of Florida runs $94. per month, with a $15. a month drug plan he's good to go. The deductible of 2110. is less than the MOOP of the Preferred Plan MAPD and B will kick in after $147. Kinda sounds like a no brainer and is better dan nottin...Explain the risk he has with just Medicare and tell him you will change it for him next AE.

HDF for $94 or plan N for $123? Why would anyone buy a HDF in FL?

I agree with the option of show him his two options:

1. Stay with orig Medicare
2. Take a supp GI until next year when he can enroll into a MA plan

Say his premium is $120 per month. April to December is 9 months = $1,080 in premium, cheaper than the Part A deductible should he have to go to the hospital (not to mention all the other bills).

Show him the above and let him decide.

Lol... I see the best meds sup Plan N right now is in Alabama with Aflac, it's like $90 monthly! The only difference between the plan N and the plan F is it has a $140 dollars yearly deductible to meet first.

Actually Liberty National has a HDF for around $60 dollars a month. I am really with the way to bench plans are right now like for instance HealthSpring there total out of pocket is $3400 dollars and theHDF deductible is around 2000 dollars so really the only reason why people buy the supplements is because they want to be able to show a card when they go to see the doctor for visits and they don't want to have to pull the pocketbook a write a check. It's really just more convenient thing. But without a Medicare it only pays 80 percent in the deductible out of pocket could be up to 10,000 dollars so supplement actually save them a bunch of money if they go to the doctors a lot... Like somebody that goes to the doctor once a month and sees 2 to 3 specialist a month. Then it's beneficial to have a supplement

Liberty National? I don't follow the rest of your rambling but I'm talking about FL

I'm talking Florida too..I'm in northwest Florida where the state meets Alabama so I'm licensed for both.
And the jiberish is the use of my voice recognition phone option to speed up the texting.

Are you sure that's all the difference is? You might want to check on that again.

Your plan N clients may be unpleasantly surprised by their out-of-pocket costs at doctors offices and the ER after the deductible is met that you told them they would not have. N is a good option for many but they really should know what they're buying.
