New CIGNA Medicare Supplement

Well that sucks. Pretty foolish of them, or are they just assuming the agent won't notice?

Assuming they are with Great American, an agent would be an *** to contract with them anyway. Isn't there already another thread about Great American marketing this to Cigna PDP clients and trying to steal them away from the agent?

Does your contract have the non-replacement language?

Section 14: Policy Replacement Prohibited

Company’s policyholders specifically includes, those policyholders introduced to Company through Associate and its Subagents. In addition, Associate shall not permit Subagents under its control to engage in a pattern or practice of replacing, lapsing, canceling, or rewriting Company’s policyholders. Without the agreement contained in this Section 14, Company would not enter into this Agreement and would not provide Associate with the printed materials identified in Section 12 of this Agreement and access to the electronic web-portal.

Did you know that new era/PA has a clause like that in their contract?

They'll come into the market, sell cheap, raise their rates, and on to the next biggest thing for the agent. Sounds like the same old song and dance.

The NE/PA has a non-piracy clause. This one is more restrictive. Also, GA seems to have a reputation that is not favorable to the agent.

This thread is about 6 months old.

Does anyone have any new opinions / experiences about CIGNA's American Retirement Life / Loyal branded MedSupp?

I was calling someone that was ready to set appointment to sign up and she told me she had already purchased a plan F here in Indiana. Premiums for T65 are 107? WOW, I guess they dont want their policy holders on the books that long. While all the other companies that have been in the market for years fight for competitiveness, CIGNA comes in and tries to lure the seniors in with their introductory rates...shame! Reminds me of a few other companies that went down this road in the last few years also
