Nursing Home 67 Year Diabetic

The regional vice president that have me my GA contract is the one that told me.

JD, do you have a link to the agent guide?

No, just hard copy and I don't see dementia listed. Mine is about 8 years old, though.

Here is what it says under "Policy Issue Guidelines"

2. The applicant/insured must be able to sign the application in his or her personal signatory capacity. Applications signed by the holder of an POA will not be accepted. An applicant may make his or her mark {as opposed to a signature}, in which case an explanation of why the individual was unable to sign his or her name {viz. severe palsy} must accompany the application.

3. An individual who is a patient or a resident in any form of health care or nursing home facility is not eligible for coverage.

4. Funeral home and burial societies may not be a party to the application, nor may either of these be named as a policy beneficiary.

There are 9 numbered guidelines but these 3 are the only ones pertaining to restrictions on writing the business. There is one about writing in Pa.
