Widow is T65 in December. Meeting in October to set up PDP + medsupp. Widow receiving SS income based on spouse's income. Per information gathered, if they were married at least one year, the widow doesn't have to have 40 quarters of work history to qualify for premium free Part A.
The question: see the title of the thread. Thanks!
I may be answering this for myself: if drawing Social Security benefits (assuming widow benefits would have the same rules), it is mandatory to at least accept Medicare Part A once turning 65--assuming work quarters are fulfilled.
