Settlers Life Re Rated "pre Diabetic"

Thank you Ben and Scott for kidnapping this post, but for real Do you two, or anyone else for that matter have a serious input on why settlers would consider pre diabetic as having diabeties? If they really don't want pre diabetics that should be asked on the application! It's a little sad when a company rerated a policy based on whatever they feel like at the time.

We as agents are supposed to use this forum to help eachother and warn of fe injustices, and this is a really big deal!

If they do this there's no telling what's next!

Example:

Sorry your client is declined because she smokes..... And that means she could get cancer, which in our minds is the same as having cancer...

(A bit of an exaderation but u get the point)

Read their underwriting guide. It says something to the effect of "we all understand that if someone controls diabetes with diet alone, that is current treatment." That should tell you all you need to know about their "logic."

You've now gotten a taste of what everyone else has. Trying to understand it will only result in headaches.
