Suggestions on how to Get Started

I have my Life & Health license, I joined a brokerage that basically threw me out there with no direction. I recently spoke with US Health which like the last company promises alot. Thanks to reading this forum it seems US health wouldn't be a wise choice. I am so frustrated because I just don't know how to get started. I know its a broad post but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like it to be eventually. My current job allows me alot of flexibility. As much as I would like to jump in with both feet I just can't afford to lose my current income.
